My intention was to sell this collection as a lot to either the winner of the Ebay auction, or to someone who made an offer before the auction ended.
There were some people who confused the Ebay auction OPENING BID as my asking price, and as if that wasn’t low enough, they offered me “liquidation pricing” using the low opening bid as a starting off point to further lowball.
Additionally, there were a huge number of inquiries for individual films and smaller lots.
While my preference was for someone to buy the collection as a whole, it was evident the day before the auction ended that there was more interest in individual films and smaller lots, so I made the decision to end the auction.
